We pride ourselves on being approachable, allowing you the opportunity to ask any question regarding your treatment and always providing the time for comprehensive answers.
We have a commitment to remain at the forefront of the profession through national and international continuing education. The fact that East Keilor Dental is amongst the very first dental practices to be accredited by Quality In Practice is testament to our commitment.
Our dentists, practice manager and dental assistants attend relevant courses on a wide range of topics to ensure we can provide the very best dentistry has to offer. This ensures we extend our knowledge and are able to provide services using the latest techniques, materials and infection control practices.
Dr. Dominic Ho
Dr Dominic Ho graduated from Melbourne University in 1989 and has been practicing in Keilor East since 1990.
On graduation, he joined the Australian Dental Association and recently received his certificate for 25 years with the association (very much to his surprise). He also served with the Australian Army Reserves for 18 years before joining the inactive reserves in 2008. Since 2003 Dominic has been, and continues to be, a clinical demonstrator and examiner at the University of Melbourne Dental School.
Dominic’s interest is in general dentistry and as such he is keen to practice in all facets of dentistry. To develop his special interests, he has previously been a member of the endodontic (root canal), periodontic (gum disease) and osseointergration (implant) societies. Dominic believes strongly in continuing education and regularly attends courses to further his knowledge and skills.
Dominic is married and has 2 children. He now finds practicing dentistry a great way to relax from running after 2 very active kids!
Dr. Jonathan Goldberg
Although he graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne in 2005, Jonathan has been involved in dentistry his entire life (with dentists for a father and aunt). He also worked as a dental assistant for five years, while he was studying to become a dentist. Jonathan believes that continuing education is vital to providing the highest quality of dentistry for his patients and as such not only attends a multitude of national and international conferences, but also works as a clinical demonstrator at the University of Melbourne dental school. His particular interests are preventative dentistry, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, management of snoring and sleep apnoea, and treatment of bad breath. He is also able to provide certain orthodontic management including Invisalign.
Outside the practice, Jonathan is married to Lauren and three children; twin sons and a daughter. In his spare time (which is quite scarce) he likes to involve himself in singing and performing as well as travelling the world.
Jonathan currently holds membership/accreditation in the following groups:
Australian Dental Association, Australian Prosthodontic Society, Australian Society of Periodontology, American Dental Association, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Australasian Sleep Association.
Dr. Margaret Preston
Dr. Preston completed her dental degree at Melbourne University in 1968, being awarded an Honours Degree and being the first female to be dux of the course.
After a short time working in Melbourne, she travelled to London to gain further and wider experience in general practice dentistry. On returning to Melbourne in 1971, Dr. Preston was invited to become a part-time teacher to undergraduate dental students at Melbourne University, a role she would continue to fill for the next 31 years while also working in private dental practice.
Continuing education has always been a vital focus of her professional life and she has attended many courses in all aspects of dentistry both nationally and internationally to maintain her knowledge of current research, materials, techniques and practice. Dr. Preston’s interests in dentistry are many, including preventive practice and dental education, periodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, paedodontics and oral medicine and surgery.
Dr. Preston has been a committee member on the Dental Health Education Committee of the Australian Dental Association (Vic ) and a secretary of the Alpha Omega Dental Society.
Dr. Preston has also returned to teaching dental students at the University of Melbourne dental school after a gap of 12 years.
Dr. Preston started working with Dr. Leon Goldberg , her brother, in 1985 and now continues to work with his son, Dr. Jonathan Goldberg and with Dr. Dominic Ho in a happy, progressive and collegiate practice.
Apart from dentistry, Dr. Preston has had a fulfilling life, being married to Harry, a GP, for over 48 years and having a wonderful son and daughter who are both members of the legal profession and who have provided her with her treasured six grandchildren.
